Travel
Visiting other countries has been something that I never thought I would be able to do in my life time. From visiting historical sites to having dinner with local families, I feel blessed to be able to experience life from different viewpoints. Traveling has in many forms shaped the way I interact and think. Here is a look at my top 5 destinations I’ve had during my exploration.
Seoul | Korea
For me, this was by far the best trip I’ve ever had in Asia. I got to go with one of my best friends (IG: Kennecting) to the most unique and lively city during the Holidays. We stayed in a hostel where we made many new friends and enjoyed delicious food. It was a fantastic way to ring in the New Year.
Sydney | Australia
My first ever trip came during CNY of 2017 to Sydney. From chilling at Bondi Beach, petting Wallabies and Kangaroos, walking the entire city, to even enjoying a concert at Sydney Opera House, this was my dream destination since I saw Finding Nemo and it didn’t disappoint.
Angkor Wat | Cambodia
In CNY of 2018, my friend Kenny and I again decided to go on another adventure. We would travel to Cambodia & Japan in two weeks. I had no idea what to expect from Angkor Wat, but what we found there was truly special. We connected with some people at the hostel and the ministry we went to and quickly became friends. We spent the entire trip together from eating meals to getting our feet cleaned by fish to serving others in need.
Tokyo | Japan
In Japan, we stayed in the sumo district (Ryogoku) and saw our fair share of sumo wrestlers. As well we visited the Tokyo Tower, TeamLab, and Japanese Museum of Baseball. Moving from one spot to the next, we stayed busy the entire time. On the last day, we made were able to take the breathtaking trip out to Mt. Fuji
Sao Paulo | Brazil
My last destination before Covid turned the world on its heels was to Sao Paulo with my friend Vinnie to see his family. His family graciously let us live there for almost a month (way beyond what we anticipated) Even though we didn’t know what was coming ahead, we enjoyed exploring the best parts of the city along with some of the best food spots Brazil had to offer. We even had the chance to travel to Rio for a few days and see some gorgeous sights!
