Over the course of 2 days, we held two football intramurals for Grades 2 & 3 and Grades 4 & 5. This was the first year we held an intramural for the grades 2 & 3, and it was a smashing success! There were almost 50 students who participated and nearly every single parent was there cheering on their children. It was a fantastic site to see. In our grade 4 & 5 intramural, 7 teams competed for 2 hours in an incredibly engaging atmosphere. There were many close games and students got a great opportunity to learn about strategy, communication, adversity, and success. We use these intramurals as a way to introduce competition to students and get them engaged with sports at a younger age in a friendly and fun environment. In this way, when students reach Middle School and High School, they will already be prepared for what’s expected of them and really thrive!
