One of my biggest achievements at my current school is building the Girls Basketball Program from nothing into 4 teams with almost 50 girls participating from grades 4-12. I have created a pipeline and system that allows girls to start learning basketball in grade 2, join teams in grade 4, and continue playing all the way through Middle School and High School.
Currently, both my Middle School and High School teams compete in Division 1 of the International School Athletic Conference (ISAC) in Beijing. We play amongst teams such as ISB, WAB, and BCIS. One of my current students who has played with me since the beginning of the program recently has been accepted into Royal Crown Academy in Toronto, Canada. One of the most prestigious High School Basketball Programs in Canada. This has been such a fun and rewarding experience seeing how many girls are being empowered to challenge themselves and grow through basketball.
